Roxanne Smith

Roxanne is an artist from Sandy, Bedfordshire, whose passion for art began in childhood. She holds qualifications in Art and Design, including GCSEs and GNVQs, and has experience running a face-painting business and painting nursery murals.

In 2012, after the passing of her mother, Roxanne rekindled her love for painting, joining a local art group that became a pivotal moment in her creative journey. Since then, she has exhibited her work in various local venues, including Mama’s coffee shop, The Bell pub, The Four Horsemen micro pub, Stevenage’s Gordon Craig Theatre, and the MS Therapy Centre, where this year marks her third exhibition.

Roxanne primarily works with acrylics and watercolors, drawing inspiration from everyday life. When not painting, she works full-time as a domestic cleaner. Married for 13 years, she is the mother of two teenagers and has a beloved beagle.

As a member of “Art out of Ten,” Roxanne’s work is permanently on display at Meppershall Village Hall. Her art is a testament to her journey, reflecting a deep personal connection to the experiences and emotions that shape her life.
