Gillian Millbery

My Mum was an extremely talented artist and encouraged me from an early age to be creative and artistic. I studied Art and Technical drawing to A-Level at school and this, together with my Mum’s teaching, set me up for a lifetime of arts and crafts in all their various forms. My first love is needlework, but I like to explore all sorts of crafts and regularly attend a Wellness Craft Workshop where I continue to learn new skills and techniques. I also spend time with like-minded friends trying out different ideas.

The artwork I have chosen to exhibit is the result of my experiments with repurposing costume jewellery which I purchased in a charity shop.
