Nicola Morcombe
I am a Bedfordshire based photographer with an aim to show people the beauty in everyday things. I took up photography in earnest after I was diagnosed with MS in 2004. Since, then my MS has progressed and I have had to medically retire from my job at the Luton and Dunstable Hospital. On the up-side, I am now able to fill my time with creative pastimes such as photography, drawing and painting. I am also a keen archer and I am a member of the Hawks Archery club in Pulloxhill. I am a member of the Royal Photographic Society’s Creative Eye, Visual Art and Digital Imaging Groups
I joined the centre as a member a few years ago and found the services and therapies that they provide to be top notch. Thanks to the Art Team at the centre, this will be my third year of exhibiting work at the Pop Up Art Exhibition. With my confidence boosted, I was also able to fulfil a long standing goal with my work being displayed and sold at The Pantry, the Higgins Gallery, Bedford. This was part of a collaboration with the owners and the centre, for which I am very grateful
I am currently constructing a website which should be up and running soon. In the meantime, my work can be viewed on Instagram using the following account name: nmmorcombe_photography
