About Us >>
This Charity, set up in 1983, aims to provide therapies, services and support needed to enable people living with Multiple Sclerosis to self-manage their condition. If you have MS, please come and see us – there is bound to be something for you.
The MS Therapy Centre receives no statutory funding, just the money we raise ourselves through our fundraising activities.
To be able to provide all our therapies and facilities, we rely on the generosity of people like you.
Please consider donating today – there are so many ways for you to help us raise the £1,000+ a day that we need to run the Centre.
We have lots of exciting events taking place. Please see our events page for more details.

Great Fun at the Quiz Night
Our Quiz last Friday was a fun and interesting evening. Thank you to David Heard for being an excellent Quiz Master and to SDC Builders Ltd for sponsoring the prizes for the winners and losers. We mustn’t forget Karen who kept the scores and the lovely volunteers who looked after the bar and the food. There were questions for everyone, so we all felt we had contributed at the end! The Evening raised the amazing amount of £783.95. Thank you to everyone who supported the event.
Masons Donate £25,000 to MS Therapy Centre
Last Friday we received a visit from Mrs Linda Staple, Mrs Mitch O’Connell and Mrs Rita Carter, the wives of local Freemasons. During their visit they presented Kay Taylor (Chair of the Beds & Northants MS Therapy Centre), with a cheque for £25,000, on behalf of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Bedfordshire
Kay thanked the Bedfordshire Freemasons for their generous support and explained that the incredible donation will be put towards the upgrade of our hydrotherapy pool that enables exercise and increased mobility to many of our clients
Exciting time at the Fire walk
Thank you to our brave fire walkers who faced their fears and raised money for the MS Therapy Centre at the same time.
A fantastic time was had by all. It is hard to convey the spirit of positivity felt by everyone, but to give you an idea, please see out fire walk page.
Digesting Science Workshop for Families
A fun and informative workshop was held at the Centre for families with young children and a family member living with MS.
The interactive and educational day helped the children understand some of the ‘big words’ associated with MS, and some of the symptoms. Read more about the workshop here.
High Sheriffs of Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire
This week we have reflected the way in which our charity is open to people living with MS in both Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire by interacting with the High Sheriffs of both counties.
On Monday, we were very pleased to welcome Rupert Fordham, the High Sheriff of Northamptonshire, who toured the MS Therapy Centreand met some of our members. Mr Fordham was very impressed with the work that we do, and hopes to work with us to make sure that people with MS in Northamptonshire know that we are here for them.
On Sunday, Paula and Kay attended the ‘Service for Judges’, hosted by Vinod Tailor, the High Sheriff of Bedfordshire, who visited the Centre a few weeks ago.
The Masonic Charitable Foundation Awards
A massive THANK YOU to all of our supporters who voted for us in the MCF awards.
We secured £25,000 to help us to fund our critical hydrotherapy pool refurbishment and orthotics that help people keep mobile for as long as possible.
Thank you to the Masonic Charitable Foundation! #mcfawards
