Our exciting Pop-Up Art Exhibition & Sale returns for the fifth time, for a wonderful weekend on 2nd, 3rd and 4th of October at the Bedford MS Therapy Centre. We are calling all artists to enter their artworks, sculptures, photography, ceramics etc before the deadline on Friday 21st August. Please read the full article to sign up. We are looking forward to seeing your artworks.
Information for artists
We take only 33% commission on any work sold at the exhibition
Join our 5th annual Pop-Up Art event commencing with a reception preview (for invited guests) on the evening of Friday 2nd October.
In 2024, we had over 100 artists showing their works, and raised over £9,000.
The exhibition opening hours are Saturday 3rd October 10am to 5pm & Sunday 4th October 10am to 5pm. We ask artists to spend as much time as they can at the event . We know that visitors are far more likely to purchase if they can meet the artist.
Sign up here by Friday 21st August
There is a one-off admin fee of £20 per artist/creatives.
In addition to the information below, please visit our page with terms and conditions. This page contains important information about your artwork submissions and commission.
Submission of artwork
Please only submit artwork that has NOT been shown in our previous exhibitions.
We suggest 2 - 3 pieces of hung (framed or strung for hanging) original artwork are submitted, but we will have space for unhung pieces in browsers. Very large pieces are counted as two. Artwork is delivered to the MS Therapy Centre on Monday 28th September and Tuesday 29th September between 10am and 4pm.
Hung artworks must be labelled and adequately framed or strung for hanging. If the terms and conditions are not met, we may not be able to accept your work (visit our page with terms and conditions).
Up to 10 unframed works, suitably protected and labelled may also be submitted, and you are encouraged to provide up to 50 greetings cards. All cards should be sold at the same price and every card be labelled with the price and the artist’s name.
Sculpture, pottery and jewellery submissions are discussed individually with the artist. Set up for this group of artists is from midday to 3pm on Friday 2nd October. It is important that these artists attend throughout the exhibition to look after their work and maximise sales.
We charge £20 for up to 3 hung artworks to cover our admin costs.
Commission on sales
All sales are handled by the event committee and artists are remunerated on sales after the event. We take a 33% commission as a donation to the charity. If artists feel they can donate a piece of work, or offer a higher percentage commission, we would be very grateful.
Donated work is extra to your allocation of 3 pieces, and will be highlighted in the exhibition catalogue.
Before and after the show
All artwork is hung by the organising committee but we welcome any help with this task.
All artwork will need to be collected by the artist on the evening of Sunday 4th October between 5.30pm & 6pm. The Centre has very little storage space.
Show catalogue
We will produce a catalogue of works sponsored by local businesses.
We would love you to provide some background information about you, (100 words) and 2 photos of your art that will be included on our artists' webpage. Please email this to frvolunteer@mscentrebedsandnorthants.com
