I am a full-time local primary school teacher. Originally from a village in Leicestershire, I lived and trained in Northampton, where I studied for my BEd (Hons) at Nene College, Leicester University. Since then, I have lived with my husband and two daughters in Bedford. I enjoy playing hockey and watching The Bedford Blues rugby games.
When I am not working or involved in sport, I like nothing more than sitting somewhere quietly and taking in the world around me. I am a member of Bedford Urban Sketchers, meeting monthly to draw the world, one day at a time, and I am currently enjoying the challenge of improving my life drawing skills with the Castlelife group at Bunyan Museum.
I work predominantly acrylic or watercolour but enjoy line drawing and experimenting with pastels too.
I love to see the children that I teach, exploring their creativity and I hope that I have managed to share, at least a little of my passion for painting and drawing with our next generation.
