Diana Gaglio
Diana is a Textile/Abstract Artist from Bedford who has always loved arts and crafts and is passionate about expressing herself in a visual way.
Diana’s artistic journey started in school, where she recognised her love for drawing and painting. This passion took Diana onto completing a Batchelor of Arts Degree in Textile Design at Brunel University.
Whilst at University, Diana experimented with a variety of techniques such as Silk Screen Printin, Batik, Etching, Photography, Surface Decoration, Knitted Textiles.
After completing her degree, Diana worked for a fashion house in New York and went on to exhibit her art in London, Paris and New York.
Diana’s love for travel, took her around the world, enjoying nature and sun kissed beaches. The vibrant colours on a sunny day and a beautiful sunset has always inspired Diana to create colourful, tactile pieces. She loves to observe the textures, lines and curves of all of nature’s beauty.
In her spare time, Diana enjoys photography and loves to sing. She is part of local contemporary choirs. She has also been attending art classes to continue up skilling her techniques and to allow her to improve her observational drawing.
Diana feels she has yet to find her ‘style’ but is having lots of fun experimenting with different mediums to find out.
