Claire Bliss
I am an artist, art tutor and newly qualified art therapist practising in Bedford; I create mixed media work, currently incorporating materials such as silk painting, wire, wood and found items together, as well as producing pen/ pencil drawings and paintings; I love to push the boundaries of the materials I work with and experiment.
Inspiration for my work includes fantasy, dreamcatchers, old buildings/ abandoned places, stained glass windows, animals, nature; as well as spirituality, philosophy and ritualist cultural work, from places such as Ethiopia. My work is now also informed by my art therapy practice, including Jungian, anthroposophical, inter-disciplinary, bilateral and transpersonal approaches.
In the past I have tutored with Guild House and Headway; I've worked with the Luton Fun Palace and have done freelance illustrations for a children's book.
