I Studied Fine Art as a student in Brighton sadly only picking up my brushes again during lockdown when a kind and encouraging artist friend gifted me her art supplies. I paint, draw, create and photograph things that grab my attention every day. Often the subjects of these photographs end up being included in one of my creations.

Inspiration: Many artists inspire me, both amateur and professional. I love work that has rhythm in the form of a pattern. If I see this alongside a thoughtfully selected palette of Colour my emotions will run riot. I love nature and walk everyday collecting ideas from my surroundings.  I really am a human magpie!

My Work: I create abstract/semi-abstract pieces. I work mainly in Acrylic and paint on textured paper, canvas, stone and wood. Sometimes I sit at my easel with no idea of what will pour from my head but I don’t ponder on it I just look through the photos on my phone and let my imagination run free. What an amazing feeling that is!

My Motto: Eyes open (check), engage brain (Check), Soak or hoover up surroundings (check).
