Gillian Weddle
Gillian lives in Hertfordshire, and has had no formal training. Her subhect of choice is animals - mainly dogs and cats, working in coloured pencils.
Gillian says “After teaching myself to draw in lockdown, I started to draw friend’s & family’s pets. This led to other people requesting commissioned pieces of their pets, I have now taken the plunge and started up my own company Gillian Weddle Fine Art. I am booked up with commissions until 2024! My inspiration has definitely come from my love of animals & my clients. Interacting with them and seeing/hearing their reactions when they see their pet coming to life on paper, makes me want to strive to get the most realistic drawing possible and capture their personality on paper for them to cherish forever.
I would like to display my work at exhibitions and I would love to enter competitions and raise some money for charity.”
