Fundraising Coordinator

The Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre in Bedford specialises in therapies for people living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). We are recruiting an experienced Fundraising Coordinator to help deliver our income target. 

In this varied and rewarding role, you will be responsible for the general oversight and day-to-day operation of all fundraising events, including all fundraising activities, promotion, special events, internal charity shops, record keeping and support for active volunteers. The role will also involve engaging with local businesses, individuals and community groups to raise financial support for the charity.

Summary of Terms and Conditions

Hours: 15 hours per week to be used as needed either in the office or at events. Evenings and weekend working will be required. We can provide some extra paid hours or TOIL if necessary.

Term:               Permanent

Salary:             Ranging from £11.00 – £12.37 per hour (£21,509 – £24,188 pro rata) depending on experience.  

Closing date: Friday 25th January

Position Requirements:

Minimum Experience:       Experience in a related field or role.

A full clean driving licence.

Language Skills:                 Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Administrative Skills:        Extreme attention to detail, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, strong maths skills, able to create written documents, letters, brochures and reports.

Software Proficiency:       Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)

Trust Fundraising Officer 

The Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre in Bedford is a charity specialising in therapies for people living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS).

We wish to recruit an experienced Trust Funding Officer to help deliver our income target. 

We are looking for an experienced person who can write compelling proposals to Charitable Trusts, raising vital income for a charity that does not receive any government funding. You will need to identify and pursue a range of potential trust funding from charitable trusts, prepare engaging and tailored trust proposals and independently gain substantial levels of income. The role will also involve engaging with local businesses, individuals and community groups to raise financial support for the charity.

You may need to give presentations to local community fundraising groups and the role may require you to work occasional evenings.

Summary of Terms and Conditions

Hours:         15 hours per week – In order to secure the right person, we are willing to arrange hours to suit you, if these fall within our core hours.

Term:           Permanent

Salary:           Ranging from £11.00 £12.37 per hour (£21,509 – £24,187pro rata) depending on experience.

Position requirements:

Experience in writing applications to Charitable Trusts or similar;

Ability to work to a target;

Ability to build and maintain good working relationships with people and local businesses;

A full clean driving license.
